And you try so hard to change but it’s inevitable and you quietly slip back into your old ways because you can’t change who you are and not a single soul will see or care or notice when you’re gone
Truly and simply, I have one policy above all others. This policy is such that the rest of life falls quite neatly into place after it. It’s a policy that is universal. You can use it in absolutely any situation. Yet it seems so rare these days. It’s really not particularly difficult. It can be self taught if it was never learned from someone else. It doesn’t require much energy once it has become a habit. It’s useful and will gain you status. It will keep you healthy and make you friends. It’ll reduce your enemies. The policy is
Seriously, so many problems could be solved if people would value respect over selfish things. Respect other people’s thoughts. It’s ok to have your own opinion but for goodness’ sake, respect other opinions too. Try to understand that compromise is often necessary. Politics becomes civil, religions and cultures become coexisting, wars are avoided. Respect others’ time, space, belongings and person. Issues with violence, overpowering, stealing, and so much more are eliminated. Respect your self. Bam, suicide diminished along with self-harm. Respect your world. Ecological advances everywhere ensue. The list goes on forever.
And easy as that, I’ve solved the world’s problems with one stroke.
